If you have always had the dream to fly now is the time to get started. Flying can be for a career or for pleasure. It takes a commitment to become a pilot. The training is rigorous and demanding at times. When you get to the point of your first time flying solo you will be forever hooked. The feeling of accomplishment and the knowing that you can do this is indescribable. For me as an instructor I see the time and effort and the result. Totally Awesome.
So what does it take to get your private pilots license?
You will need to go to an Aviation Medical Examiner to get a flight physical. We will need to apply for a student pilot license from the FAA and then get you set up with the items you will need like a headset and a logbook to get started flying.
The FAA requires a minimum of 40 hours of flight time, a written knowledge test and and then a check ride with an examiner to get the license.
